Frequently Asked Questions about our Website Design Packages
How long does it take to build a website?
Once we have discussed your website we will be able to agree a timescale based on your urgency and our workload. As a rough guide, a basic website can take between 1 to 3 weeks to be ready for launch while a more complex design can take between 2 to 6 weeks. We always involve clients in the design process and provide progress updates throughout the project.
Who writes the text for the website?
Our packages are based on you supplying the content (words) for your website. We will obviously suggests improvements or alterations if they are necessary. If you are really lost for words we can supply copy writing for an additional charge.
Do I own my Domain Name?
Yes. If we buy a domain name for you as part of a package you will be recorded as the registrant. If you decide to move web host we will make the necessary changes free of charge.
Do I have to provide photos for the website?
It is always best to use original photographs and images where ever possible. Unique pictures help engage the viewer and show the ‘real’ business behind the website. We can source ‘stock’ pictures for your site or arrange a photo shoot, both these options incur an additional cost.
When do I have to pay for my website?
Once you have accepted our proposal we require a 50% deposit. When you are 100% satisfied with your new website we ask that you formally sign-off the project and pay the remaining balance. We will then agree the ‘go live’ date for your site..
Do I have to be in Southampton?
We are proud to be part of the local business community but we always welcome customers from further afield. The power of today’s communication tools mean that we can work effectively with clients from any location. We are in the process of setting up an office in Malaga, Spain…location really is no longer a boundary!
I have a website already but the design needs updating, what can I do?
The first step is to contact us and we can take care of everything. We will handle all the technical details like transferring your domain name and changing web host. All you need to do is choose one of our web design packages and we will build a new website for you.
